As one of Iceland’s largest fishing ports – especially for white fish – Reykjavik receives the lion’s share of landings by the Icelandic fishing fleet. The landing, auctioning and distribution of fresh fish for Iceland’s domestic market is big business, and Reykjavik continues to play a leading role in that trade.
